On Friday 31st August ICA and NZHito took 31 students through a one on one interview to see where each individual student would be best placed for their on going training and study.
During this interview, a series of question were asked and recorded. This enabled the interviewer to get a first hand impression of the student’s English level and what area of New Zealand they wanted to work. We were also able to find out about previous experience and knowledge and what kind of field they might be leaning towards. Some students who were under 22yrs old will be offered the opportunity to do an apprenticeship.
These students will be placed on grower’s properties where they will do 20 hours of work experience and the rest of the time will be theory, self study and class tutorials. This day was very successful and we intend to see all our students placed with growers which we are extremely confident will lead to future full time employment.
