Aims of the Course
The course helps students to achieve a National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing, as an entry level to National Diploma in Computing (Level 5)
Student Outcomes
Student completing the course will acquire:
- Improved Business and Computing English
- Specific skills for Business Administration tasks
- Specific skills for standard business processes – accounting, communications
- A background on computers in business
- Use of computing applications and programmes
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements to the course – Open Entry.
16 yrs or older.
Students are expected to advance to higher levels of learning, for example the National Diploma in Computing, level 5, and Diploma in Computer Systems Support (level 7).
Course Details
Approved and awarded by New Zealand Qualifications Authority
63 credits (6 month course for Immigration purposes)
28-week semester
One-week break between semesters for re-sit – 17 weeks in total course length.
Students will be at ICA full-time (40 hours per week)
10 hours direct tuition, and 30 hours self-directed study
All course material and resources are supplied by ICA
Students will share resources with, and be mentored within, the ICA IT programme.
